The purpose of this site is to give the (future) readers of the Pat Hayden Jones stories an immersive experience. I cannot cram all the backstory of each character into the novel — my mind holds a lot more than most readers would wish to sit through, but there might be the occasional person questioning: so just who was Spacer Dick? And what about this ‘Bender’ person? And of course, the dread Frick.

To that end I’ll be adding two things to the site. First, a character FAQ — tidbits about the characters which don’t make the final cut. 

Second will be the timeline, which gives the reader an understanding of why humanity is at the level of development we see in the beginning of the story.

Finally I’ll be adding a work which is a splinter of the main narrative about a world I may build out. There we re-encounter the mysterious Karl, and introduce a desperate (and so far un-named) assassin.
